1 bunch of Fresh basil
1/4 toasted pine nuts
1/4 cup Olive Oil
1/4 Shredded parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
Wash the fresh basil and tear off the stems as a whole, put into leaves into blender
Toast the pine nuts in a toaster oven until lightly golden brown. Let cool.
Add the oil, juice of two lemons, parmesan cheese and salt to the blender.
It should be a smooth consistency when done.
Ready to put on chicken, fish, or french bread for dipping.
Makes about 1 cup of fresh pesto! Delicious and easy to make in about 10 minutes or less!
